Speakeasy- End of the Year
The summer addition and my first speakeasy is upon us. I order to give you the most info, as quickly as possible and to guarantee that all info is correct I will make this short and sweet.
First off communication will be key this summer. It is imperative that we receive all phone numbers, emails, and any other forms of contact information before summer so that we can contact you about upcoming fundraising and team building events.
The website will also be updated regularly and we have created and email so that all yall can reply to posts on the website (stowspeechanddebate@gmail.com). We are also in the process of creating a speech and debate facebook group that will be updated along with the website in order to ensure that information can be accessed at multiple location.
Fundraising will also be key this summer. If the auxiliary levy doesn’t pass in the fall then our organization will need to pay for much more than we did last season, thus making money over the summer will be essential.
Please keep speech and debate or you radar this summer. Have fun and stay safe!!!

New Email Address
Dear Team,
In order to keep communication flowing this summer we, at Stow Speech and Debate, have devised a new plan so that you all can respond to our posts. If you have any questions, comments, concerns or just want to email us the address is stowspeechanddebate@gmail.com. Your emails will be responded to by either Carleigh, Chris or myself in a timely fashion so don’t hold back on the emails. This will be a great way for our team to communicate over the summer.

!!!Summer!!!
Hey everyone! As most of you know, we tend to do a lot of fundraising in the summer which is what supports us and allows us to go to tournaments during the saeson. Because this is so important to our team it is MANDATORY that everyone participates. Thus far we have 4 car washes planned and well as involvement with the 4th of July Parade in Stow. The dates are as follows:
CAR WASHES: June 28th, July 12th, July 19th, and August 16th. All car washes will be at the Fishcreek Dairy Queen from 11:00am until 2:00pm. These are all Saturdays.
The July 4th stuff is- go figure- on July4th.
There will be other fundraisers in addition to those listed above which will be posted as soon as we have them planned so keep checking the website!
We understand that some people have other commitments during the summer and will not be able to attend these events. Therefore, if anyone is unable to attend at minimum of 2 fundraisers over the summer, that person will be required to sell 10 Handles Cards once school begins again. Some type of fundraising must be done before you can compete. Please understand that this is not a punishment, but a way to make sure that everyone pulls their own weight.
Signup sheets for summer frundraising are posted in Mrs. Theisen’s room. If you are signing up after the May 30th meeting please don’t just write your name on the list- See Mrs. Theisen or an officer who is in the room. If it is now summertime and you did not sign up for any fundraisers, please contact me, Matt McBurney, or Chris Conrad to tell us which ones you will be able to attend. Our contact information will be posted shortly.
And last but not least, If you sign up for a fundraiser and then find out you can’t go you MUST tell an officer AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT. If you do not tell anyone and then don’t show up you will be required to sell 10 handles cards when we get back to school regardless of how many other fundraisers you have attended.
Ok, I know the post sounded angry and official but I love you guys!!
